Cutting in Line
Re: Cutting in Line
This... is one of the funniest games I've ever played. Wonderful.
My game called Hat Cat and the Obvious Crimes Against the Fundamental Laws of Physics is out now!
Re: Cutting in Line
This is really only an incremental improvement, but I had to share the animated particles, and the beginning of the new tileset
edit: power ups! badly placed and the effects are weird ones from 3am, but powerups!

PM me on here or elsewhere if you'd like to discuss porting your game to Nintendo Switch via mazette!

Re: Cutting in Line
I found a bug,
I played the game and finished the level, then I pressed r to restart. After 26 seconds it tells me that I'd made it althrough I wasn't at the goal yet.
anyway, new record ! :'D

Re: Cutting in Line
Oh man, there's a new world record.
Good luck beating that.

Re: Cutting in Line
doh! I have really really naive collision on the win condition. I'll fix you, accidental cheater!
I forgot to destroy the last player object's body, so it was you in a past life being knocked into the goal.
Rather than run the folks here out of storage space with multiple copies of my game, I'd recommend you grab it from:

Re: Cutting in Line
When I look back at the screenshots, especially that latest one, I can't tell which guy is the player.
Do you recognise when the world won't stop for you? Or when the days don't care what you've got to do? When the weight's too tough to lift up, what do you? Don't let them choose for you, that's on you.
Re: Cutting in Line
This can be a bit of a problem while playing sometimes, too.Lafolie wrote:When I look back at the screenshots, especially that latest one, I can't tell which guy is the player.
Only for a second or two of course, but still. Maybe he should have a unique shirt color?
Possession - Escape from the Nether Regions, my roguelike made in LÖVE for the 2013 7-Day Roguelike Challenge
And its sequel, simply called Possession , which is available on itch.io or Steam, and whose engine I've open-sourced!

Well yeah, I just implicitly implied this.Rickton wrote:This can be a bit of a problem while playing sometimes, too.Lafolie wrote:When I look back at the screenshots, especially that latest one, I can't tell which guy is the player.

Re: Cutting in Line
Good point! I'll work on a strategy to make the player stand out more.
