The Owls Massacre [v0.003]

Post by Davidobot »

Hi, welcome to yet another post!
Today, I am introducing a game I have been recently working on: The Owls Massacre.
I won't release any planned updates, so you'll just have to wait and see!

The Controls:
Up and Down - Move up or down
Z - Shoot Currently Equipped Gun
X - Shoot laser
1-3 - Change Resolution (Not Fully Done)

Change-log:
v0.003:
Added new collision system (Thanks Zeliarden!)
Added Machine Gun (Hold X)

v0.002:
Added new enemy (Car)
Added Guns (x1 - Pistol)
You can shoot a gun
Optimisations

v0.001:
First Release.
Added enemies
Added laser
Started Resolution Changing

Great game! I think it's a good start.

What I like:
The owl shoot lasers!
Simple, fun game play.

What needs improvement:
Maybe a bit faster laser regeneration?
Feet moving on bikers.
The hit box for the bikers is a bit off (it hits a bit in front of them, at least for me.)

Mostly simple fixes (such as moving the biker picture/ adding foot movement to the bikers).
Also, I noticed you have several useless items (at least currently) such as test.png and bullet_table.
Overall, I think it's a good start to a game! :awesome:

I'll look into those. And thanks! Also those as not useless items, they are hinting on future releases. :nyu:

EDIT: Also, the laser regen might be a bit too fast, since you are going to have guns that can shoot too.

haha, love it. Didn't play it for too long, but I was seriously expecting it to be a game about slaughtering owls as a hunter or something... lol.

Nice update! Everything looks nice now! You may want to look in to having clip sizes instead of having a set amount of bullets at the beginning. Also: You might also want to give points for destroying bikers/ cars, and if they get past, you lose points.
Nice game! :awesome:

Nice! I don't really have an new suggestions, just an old one: clip size for bullets.
