Any reference to LÖVE, löve, LOVE or love in this is 100% to do with the framework and not actual love... if that makes sense
This is really just for curiosity's sake. I would like to know how some of you found löve. Did your friend use it? I found it in a really strange way and wanted to know if I was the only one. I found löve by discovering Lua via Tekkit + Feed The Beast's mod, Computer Craft. It used Lua to program the computers, and when I learn Lua I thought 'I'll do a google search for a Lua game api!', and google exactly 'Lua game API', and LÖVE was the first result. I actually didn't expect to find anything! So then I am where I am now Anyone else find LÖVE this way?
And another thing: Why is LÖVE called LÖVE? Does it stand for anything? It's puzzled me for a while. Maybe it's because of the LÖVEly developers and LÖVEly community?
Kind of pointless but I'm just full of questions today LÖVE is awesome and I hope it gets more recognition!!!! It deserves it!!!!!

I found it on Wikipedia in the list of Game Engines.

I was looking for a free to use 2d framework and LÖVE seemed the best fit.

I didn't even know that wiki existed! Would've been really helpful like 3 years ago for me when I was gonna make a game in PythonPlu wrote:I found it on Wikipedia in the list of Game Engines.

I found it while searching for an alternative to gamemaker. First I found Lua and then I found out about love!
PM me on here or elsewhere if you'd like to discuss porting your game to Nintendo Switch via mazette!

Re: How did you find LÖVE?
I've been into programming for a pretty long time now, First i was programming san andreas multiplayer servers and filterscripts, Then i started to play with visual basic. At some point i decided i wanted to try making games, Tried using visual basic for that, Didn't work too well so i did some research on 2d game engines, And found löve through some google-ing.

Lua is not an acronym.
