I was actually gonna ask you to join me, Davidobot. But I have a team of 3 so far to help me! I doubt I'll win, but it'll be a good chance for me to test my LÖVE skills. Like Davidobot said, good luck if you're participating!

Thanks, I will. Good luck, Eamonn.
I think it's not about win the jam, it's more about the things you learn from it - & you actually get feedback for your game from most people.
That's also pretty importent.

If you do participate, good luck to you! I didn't know what the Jam was until I saw this post :O It sounds really fun and I have a team of 4 other people, 3 doing music/art and 1 doing code along with me! Though the other coder can only code for a few hours, then has other things to do. Still, he'll still help us out in the longrun. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm from the UK, so it'll be starting at 11PM for me and I plan on not sleeping for the entire Jam

not sleeping?
I actually participate but I will sleep, going to friends & such things.
I can't be focused on coding for more then 3-4 hours. So I won't try it
Hopefully there is a chance to finish a game anyway.
Are you guys going to use own pre-coded snippets for the jam ? ( i.e fadingclass or gamestate managment class )
Sleep. Seriously. You will not be able to accomplish anything worthwhile if you don't sleep at least a few hours a day.
Also, using pre-coded snippets of non-game-specific stuff is expected. After all; even LÖVE itself has been coded before the competition Only things that are specific to a single or very small set of games should not be coded before a jam starts.

The sleep thing was a joke. I can't really stay awake past 4:30AM on a good day(or night, depending on how you look at it). I have got the skeleton of the main.lua file setup(like the main functions) and some objects setup too. I'm looking into some libraries such as AnAL and HUMP to (hopefully) save time.
I take it that you are participating in the jam?
