Using community-made libraries may help, since doing it your own (if you're a newbie) is complicated...

There's nothing built straight into LÖVE, if that's what you're asking.
Depending on what you want to be able to do, it doesn't have to be hard to implement something yourself. But if you're new to lua and löve, I'd also recommend you to try a community made package.
