Re: Collision (Need Help)
Thats not an answer. You are using the example detection Resolution I gave you. Not what your desired effect is. You need to think about these elements:- 1) What will collide with your wall. 2) What you want to happen on detection of a collision with that wall to that object. Ohh, and telling us som...

Re: Collision (Need Help)
What do you mean you want to make that rectangle a wall? I cant see your source at work but I'm assuming you are performing simple bounding boxes collision detection. There are two elements to collision detection 1) Detection (check) 2) Resolution (not sure if checked). ie. Player is moving, check i...

Re: The Legendary Empires MMORPG project
A socket in networking terms involves an IP and a port number (TCP or UDP), so yes, you need an IP to make luasocket to work. (if that was your question, sorry, it was worded poorly though) Its true, if you use the webgl implementation of love2d and host the game on an publicly accessible web server...

Re: The Legendary Empires MMORPG project
Hi, I think getting a project page on indiedb.com would be advantageous to start showcasing what you already have. Ignore those jumping on your back for now. I guess these are just the guys who see every other post "Im making an MMO, watch out" and maybe thought the same here as well. Kind...

Re: Updating spritebatches
Interestingly enough, I hit the 16k SpriteBatch limit in 0.8.0 while testing a large tile/block idea for a game. I noticed that once they were added to the batch though, and just being called in a single draw, things are merry and fine. I saw this limit exists through testing and the incredible memo...

Re: LöveOUYA
Totally agree. It has awesome potential for this stuff. This is where the active IP license studios could be smart and start offering this to the retro gamers who want to play the old classics but at a very cheap fair price. Theyd still be making money and the gamer gets hd retro classics.

Re: LöveOUYA
This would be very awesome.
--- OFF TOPIC ---
I saw an emulator project somewhere for retro console selection and running retro games via OUYA. I know there are android emulators for PS and N64 already but seeing that running with a nice gui on OUYA would be awesome.
