I'm trying to make a sprite appear but every time I do, it tells me that I have an invalid escape sequence near the path i'm trying to use to use my sprite image. I can't even convey thoughts correctly right now; I don't think anything in life has been so frustrating.

I am using the love.graphics.newImage and the setColor function in an attempted to make my sprite appear on a black background but it refuses. Not sure what i'm doing wrong being that i just started programming like a week ago. Any help would be awesome.

This is for future game ideas which is why it's a tad difficult to be specific. Thanks for all the help.
