Re: Sokoban clone

@grunk: Yeah since you still have esc to go back. Automatically loading would keep your players longer playing your game without thinking about it^^ Reacting to music can be done with some FFT magic applied to the up and right direction of the audio from love.audio.getOrientation I guess (getting m...

Re: Sokoban clone

How about automatically loading the next level once solved and use the dis-/assemble as transition animation more seamlessly? Also when adding sounds how about making those flying particles react to it and having some in the background like a stream? I could imagine it adding to the atmosphere. But...

Re: Sokoban clone

This looks so awesome! I really love the graphics style. Looks perfectly polished and slick. Now it's time to add some sounds! :) Another small thing: if you solve a level you should automatically select the next one in the level selection screen. So happy to hear that you like it!! You are right, ...

Sokoban clone

Hello everyone :awesome: The last couple days I have been working on a Sokoban-clone. There are currently no sounds, but other than that I am pretty happy with the result. I have tried to keep instructions about the game at a minimum, so if things don't make sense please let me know and I will try t...

Re: RetroLove

Really neat idea! They both play well. Cool you added sounds too! I think making clones of old games is the best way to learn game programming. It's really fun and it often doesn't require much work to make the game into something new and cool. You are drawing everything on a smaller canvas than the...

Re: Selection sort!

Good work on the visualization :) it looks cool and explains the algorithm well, without using a single word. Well done! I learned about the technique from this guy: https://trasevol.dog/2017/02/01/doodle-insights-2-procedural-dithering-part-1/ I really like to read his stuff, he is full of great i...

Re: Selection sort!

This would've come in crazy handy a few months ago with one of my uni assignments! Nice work! Love the pixel trail effect. Thanks! Glad you like it :) I didn't invent the pixel-effect myself. I learned about the technique from this guy: https://trasevol.dog/2017/02/01/doodle-insights-2-procedural-d...

Selection sort!

Hi guys, first time poster here. :awesome: This is not a game - it's a visualization of the selection sort algorithm. I was really inspired by the PICO-8 fantasy console when I made this. This is what it looks like: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/grunkgrunk/selection-sort-visualization/master/sor...
