Re: Grid Engine
It's nice that things got speed up. However, yeah, still impraticable so you can't yet use realtime lightning, you still need to rework this. :/ Don't know the way your game/engine will turn out but I still have some doubts the way you declare and keep basic map. For objects and other stuff it's ok ...

Re: Zombie Game
thanxs, updates were great, good to see health drops and muzzle's fire now in white is so much better now. but I think now gameplay got screwed. The player dies too fast, only needs almost touch one time mob to die. So have 35 health that drain very fast when health drops only gives 0.5 health, well...

Re: String2Tiles
Oh. Well, I'm not sure about that. You see, normally when you load maps you want to load more stuff than just the tiles. For example, enemy locations. Triggers. That kind of thing (explained better on this forum post ). You would need a tiles.txt file for the tiles themselves, and a map.lua file po...

Re: String2Tiles
But... it is already plain text! Not sure of what you mean. Regarding the wiki, my plan is creating a better tile tutorial. The 3 ones that are there are too confusing. But I'll wait until 0.7 goes out. You probably right. Just was thinking in instead of load a .lua file with local str = [[ 1***2 *...

Oh, only now noticed this interesting post. That's was very good function idea that could help some people, Thx kikito and vrld
For the value of it you should add this to Snippets Wiki.
btw, just an suggestion, why you don't wrap it with a loading/save function to plain txt?

I'm having a go at AI and i'm trying to do a procedural vines with branches. However, I'm unsure how I would draw this vine. Should I: b. b. Re: Jasoco's 3D Engine Thread: Go to Page 6 Please!
Man that is even slower than Grid engine! Ah naw just messing with you Jasoco. Things seem fine. Remember we are on Mac, as I watched in benchmark thread things must be even faster in Windows/Linux machines. But you will need this to be faster right for action purposes? I guess if as you said stop d...
