It didn't work? Dang that's annoying. Well I suppose all I can think in that case is you get your hands dirty creating a little c/c++ executable that calls the a bundled Lua exe + script?

I would of thought that this might of been a bit complex and involved but a quick look on stackoverflow and I found this answer: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/194520/creating-standalone-lua-executables Which suggested some tools one of which was: http://www.tecgraf.puc-rio.br/~lhf/ftp/lua/#srlua

Hey, I'm new here had a look at your post and see you working on some sort of mortal kombat game? Pretty cool. What do you need your GUI to do exactly, are we talking a menu screen, are your configurations exceptionally complex to require some sort of full blown GUI solution?

Any mods reading this, sorry for double posting here and S&D, didn't read the "mods must approve thread" after I created this one, and ended up create nearly the same thing in there.
