I take the viewpoint to mean the visible portion of the map displayed on-screen. I could buffer till the cows come home but until they're buffered so much they go off the borders of the window, they'll still pop into view. Thanks! I am one of the unfortunate ones who slept through maths thinking "trigowhatnow? like i'd ever need that in my life"... so I try and soak up such taken-for-granted knowledge where I can.

Hais! I'm new to both lurve and game development, but I've dedicated myself to learning. To that end I'm trying to construct a simple top-down 2D RPG, using tilesets. I can thus far grasp the basics of tilesets fairly well I think, but I would like some opinion as to how to handle smooth camera move...
